Lucifer and Venus

From Darkness to Light

The lessons that both Lucifer and Venus bring to us are ultimately what help us merge divine love with human experience. The mystique of Lucifer and Venus lies in both their multifaceted nature. They represent beauty, wisdom, even love. They both represent the potential for enlightenment and the dangers of temptation. Their stories challenge us to confront the complexities within ourselves, the light and shadow that reside within each of us. We already know the correspondence of love to Venus, but how can Lucifer possibly represent love?

If we talk about him as a character we see that he is complex with deep feelings and desires. Sensitive to the injustices in the universe. If we talk about him in the Christian context of his pre-fall from heaven he was the Angel of Music which would denote a passionately artistic being, capable of inspiring the holiest of holy beings. When we view Lucifer in the context of religious history and the cultures who worshipped this energy as faces of Inanna or Ishtar or many others you will see that what they all have in common is aspects of fertility and abundance and wisdom. Granted, there is some war in there too but what we love we often fight to protect. Does that not speak of love
